billb Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Yellow Okeh, is it a real one? stamped ZSP 55359 1B in the dead wax
George G Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 There are legit yellow Okeh labels, there were used around 1960-2 and this record fits into that time frame I think. If it's a stamped styrene press, than it's probably real. I have Billy Lamont "Country Boy" and a few other R&B records on yellow. - George

Tony A Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 Yellow Okeh, is it a real one? stamped ZSP 55359 1B in the dead wax I've got a white demo of this, will dig it out and do a post with deadwax details. OKEH.
Tony A Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 As promised, Deadwax stamped ZSP55360 - 1D, about 3mm before the Z there is another stamp that looks very much like a J, was thinking, could yellow okeh be Canadian ?

Thanks for that Tony, I can't see a "J" but there's what looks like a very feint T1 opposite to the stamp. It says made in USA on the label, just looks a bit strange Okeh being on a yellow label. Like George said there are legit yellow Okeh labels, used around 1960 - 62 and this release was 1961 7142 - Eventuals - Charlie Chan / Just The Things That You Do - 1961
