Mark Bicknell Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 (edited) Might be time to revisit a few records which still have plenty of play in them, Jean Stanback - If I Ever Needed Love - Peacock 1958 is an on fire hard edged soul record of the highest order and in my opinion is a real sleeper of a record that has had some turntable action over the years but for sure would get the floors packed out there. Tim Smithers Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 Tis a great tune Mark, i used to play it out on a regular basis, was always sort after for the other side with the deep soul collectors, still got my demo copy
pikeys dog Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Also came out on UK - Dave Godins Deep Soul label...
Stevie Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Yes - good reminder of a powerful main floor record that doesn't cost the earth and still has plenty of life in it..
