AlanB Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 There has been a spate of these selling for £50-£60 on eBay, with several being listed at any one time. Great record but surely not rare at all. Is this another outbreak of eBay madness? Or am I missing something? Alan
Soul-slider Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Just had a look in me TMG box...phew, I have a copy! Did it get a 45 release in the USA? If not, maybe that's the reason???

Dean Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Just had a look in me TMG box...phew, I have a copy! Did it get a 45 release in the USA? If not, maybe that's the reason??? USA release on SOUL S35014, label available in both designs (tramlines and concentric circles), seem to think concentric circle design is a bit scarcer (one of the first on that design) but both can be picked up quite cheap. Good sound though. Dean

Dean Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Definitely Pick Them Up Cheap Many different variations, I bought the Soul DEMO for $5 Last Year What great scans. I can't understand the opinion of anyone who spouts that labels aren't important. Great, beautiful art.
arnie j Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 What great scans. I can't understand the opinion of anyone who spouts that labels aren't important. Great, beautiful art. i definately agree with your statement jason
Dean Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Different DJ copy design (apart from the bloody biro that is!)
45cellar Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 (edited) Different DJ copy design (apart from the bloody biro that is!) Agree about Labels being a Beautiful Art form, I find them fascinating with all the different Variations & Designs over such a Small Canvas. That's a RARE One Mate, I haven't seen that variation before for 35014 This one just arrived today, not easy to find as a DEMO either. Edited March 16, 2010 by 45cellar
grouse Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 Different DJ copy design (apart from the bloody biro that is!) Is it just me, or does this not look right?
45cellar Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 (edited) Is it just me, or does this not look right? I know exactly what you mean, However I have seen various numbers as a Soul DEMO with this Design. I haven't seen one close up, only scans, they are the West Coast Variation. Edited March 16, 2010 by 45cellar
Dean Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 Is it just me, or does this not look right? There's a couple of design variations. Delta 58666 (biro on ther side dates at 9-20-65) and a good strong stamp S4KM - 9932 - 1 on this one. Feels right.
grouse Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 I know exactly what you mean, However I have seen various numbers as a Soul DEMO with this Design. I haven't seen one close up, only scans, but I believe they may be a West Coast Variation. I think it's the font of SOUL, haven't seen it before on a 60s record, Probably me being too suspicious, don't trust anything unless it's Nashville Matrixed and even then............
