Mick Howard
Yeah, being from Southampton I always thought Poole was a part of Bournemouth until I reached a certain age! (About 35 I think...) I now understand that there is a sort of Manchester/Salford thing with Bournemouth/Poole albeit it a little less intense....Funny enough my daughter lives in Parkstone now, on the High Street and when I was down there at Christmas I found a lovely condition SUPERBS 45 in a junk shop there, although the actual second hand Record shop on that road was bloody crap for Soul. One Australian 2nd reissue of BOBBY PARIS 'Personally' on the wall for 25 quid I think and that was it. She's married to the local Butcher but I think I am starting to digress.... Rich Just as a matter of interest do you know or have you met Pete McNulty from Poole? He's kind of my Brother in law - basically he's married to my partners Sister - he goes to many of the Northern do's in the Bournemouth/Poole area - re the rivalry it can't be that bad 'cos he's from Poole but is a staunch Bournemouth Utd fan.... Guest bazabod_downunder
Hi Mick........the reason he's a Bournemouth AFC (not Utd) fan is that Poole Town are crap...lol.....also B'mth is a part of Poole, not the other way round as it's a very historic town of nearly 8oo years old whereas B'mth is 88.5 years & a crusty ham sandwich old, as most of it's residents Bournemouth was originally in Hampshire until one dark night about 30 years or so ago we invaded & it's now part of Dorset & can 'now' be considered cool....lol....I'm waiting for the replies! Guest
And they are me mate's. The drummer Sean,dj'ing here with yours truely, and Keb and Ion dancing on the flier. I used to love Drummonds Kenny. I think the world and his wife ran a night up there at one point in time. Used to get some strange one's in the 100 club early 80's.. Mods, Psycobillys, Psuedobeatnicks and all sorts of trendies.. Remember the D-Mob lot from Camden. Link to comment Social source share
