ImberBoy Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 I was not sure if I should add this topic here or members feed back? I joined this forum 06-February 07, I had know for some time of its existence but Soul Source had a rather stuffy reputation for train spotters and elitism so I was reluctant to join. Even now I'm not too sure why I joined but join I did, not with any adjender but I did take a deep breath and dove in. A few years later and I find my self totally addicted to Soul Source and it is now my first port of call to see what's on in Soul Events. The very best thing for me is the people that I have met due to this forum and there isn't an allnighter where I haven't met a fellow Soul Sourcer. Brilliant forum, certainly the best platform for our chosen life style. Thanks to all concerned.

Rugby Soul Club Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 I know I lerked a lot before I wrote anything, then when I did write, I was terrified of the "clever ones" pulling me apart, now I just don't care if I make a prat of myself (usually do) and being female is a plus coz we're not supposed to know anything anyway... But got to agree with Simon, first port of call for me as soon as I sit at the comp...
Guest Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 (edited) Funny you should post this thread now, Imberboy (hello again and thanks for the welcome). I posted on here for the first time yesterday, even though I signed up on here in February last year. A friend of mine (who's also on here) is into Northern and Rare Soul quite intensely and I am a total newbie. That is how I got introduced to this kind of music, and I began exploring it. And it's been this very site that I get to listen to so many, many songs....... I said it to Admin Mike earlier this afternoon when I pm'd him with a question, but I'll say it again: Hats off to you all, Mike et al. Fantastic site. Edited March 4, 2010 by Isabel
Guest WPaulVanDyk Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 don't worry we can all feel lost here at times. Even if you here for a while. Little-stevie Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Cheers Simon I can see how the site could seem daunting for some but once you chip in its fine, so many different places to lurk and with a make up of so many different creatures... I too thought it was for trainspotters only and thought they should get a life before i joined in 2004 .... Did not take me long to really get into it and as helped me meet so many folk that would have passed me by i guess... There will always be folk to help you out with all things soul and many things outside that in freebasing too... Its the first port of call for me each day too after my yahoo email... Teachers pet 2 xx

Yes, I've met at least 6 or 7 future husbands. Just got to get rid of this pesky first one though. I keep checking the wants lists, but no-one ever seems to be looking for him

Good luck and let me know who is in the firing line for next husband
