Guest rikerliker Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 my wife and i were having a heated discussion(being polite) and she said i don't know why you keep buying them!! (a lot of emphasis went on the word them) "THEY ARE ONLY RECORDS" were her words, i have been haunted by this all day, only records, if only she understood

My advise would be when she buys some shoes/clothes/perfume/handbags etc.etc. is to say that they are only shoes/clothes/perfume/handbags etc.etc. BUT MY RECORDS WILL INCREASE IN VALUE and then fook off down the pub before she can think of an answer ! Cheers Swifty (on his second marriage )

Guest Buey Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Your missus is quite right, they are just records. I would gladly give my whole collection for one more minute with my dearly departed grandma. Perspective innit! Peas B
Dave Thorley Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 It's hard to find one that does understand, it took me three marriages

Guest Gogs Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Think i am fortunate, married only once (nearly 24 years) but my wife understands my need for vinyl
Samplat Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 my wife is brilliant after thirty years and she still looks like the first day i met her and i still wind her up over records but she still loves me
Samplat Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 this is dictated by my wife. I am my husbands wife and if he thinks he can get away with everything by being nice to me over record buying and sales he has got a long way to go. I have crawlled all my life for her and she has been alright
Steve Myers Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Thankfully I'm only on my second marriage (to a wonderfull woman, i hasten to add) and she "tolerates" my addiction to vinyl, but i have one hand firmly on the handle of my record box whenever theres an arguement in the air, and it will be the first thing out of the door with me.

Guest Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 I understand. But then again, its me that buys them. Along with shoes and knickers and dresses... Thankfully, theres not many ladies like me though
Mick Howard Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 I sold my original collection as me & my partner were in dire straits - how's that for commitment? Mick
