Kegsy Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 There seems to be a bit of a a buzz on this recently. Cheers Kegsy
Paul McKay Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Last one I saw on a list was £50, but it's the kind of record you can still pick up for peanuts if you're lucky.
bri pinch Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 SEEN SEVERAL LISTED OR SOLD IN THE LAST FEW WEEKS, ALL BETWEEN £30 - £50 WEATHER IT BE UK PYE, US 20TH CENTURY OR FRENCH PHILIPS. BRI PINCH. BARNSLEY METRODOME CHARITY NIGHTER, SAT 27TH FEB.
Nige Brown Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 IMOP the sounb quality is FAR BETTER on the UK Pye Copies I have both and the UK one seems alot better/stonger! Nige B
Steveh73 Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Got mine on e Bay a few months ago for £12, a result that pleasantly surprised me. So, £30-£50 on the lists, less if you're prepared to dig thaat little deeper!!!
Ric-tic Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 try finding a pye demo though, i looked all my life and only finally got one last year.
Epic Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Can't believe people pay money for this record - couldn't move in the 70s for stuff like this - not played my copy in 30 years.
Daz Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Can't believe people pay money for this record - couldn't move in the 70s for stuff like this - not played my copy in 30 years. heard this record this morning i think its bloody awful. would be nice to find a pile of them if they are hitting £30-£50
Ric-tic Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Can't believe people pay money for this record - couldn't move in the 70s for stuff like this - not played my copy in 30 years. but epic you couldnt move for millions of records in the 70s:thumbsup: i dont believe the 20th century copy is hard to find but despite what people say on here i dont think it sold well on pye i worked in a record shop at the time this was out thats where i know it from as far as i remember we never sold a copy, i dont recall hearing it on the radio or in any club, i also remember being on a night out in liverpool in the late 70s early 80s and the real thing wags were in comany and we all spoke about this record they expressed their dissapointment in it as we all agreed it was the best record they had made
