Premium Stuff Posted February 21, 2010 Author Posted February 21, 2010 Just out of curiosity: why? It just seems funny to me as most people collect white demos and look down on these tipe of 'demos'... On these two labels in particular I am a completist. I already have almost everything on Ric-Tic and Golden World on both the issue and either the white or blue demos (there are several blue demos on Ric-Tic) as well as several sticker demos. However, I want to get the lot to get the full set. For instance, JJ Barnes - Please Let Me in came out on a red issue, a white demo and a sticker demo (I have all three), plus there are at least two different versions of the issue with different credits. All worth collecting in my book. Significantly, some of the releases did not come out on white demo and the sticker demo is the only way to collect them. Hope that gives an insight into 'why' Just waiting for the PM's now Cheers Richard

Not sure if all may have, or just certain numbers. For Instance Golden World 21 "HEY", Has two White DEMOs & two corresponding Stock Copies. (GW-21 on the Left of the Label & GW-21 on the Right of the Label) Edited February 21, 2010 by 45cellar

(GW-21 on the Left of the Label & GW-21 on the Right of the Label) Hi Roger Yes, there are loads. As well as my 45s, I also have a nice collection of label scans that I have picked up over the years. This is a great source of information in itself by which to compare this kind of thing. Some variants are more obvious - like Juanita Williams - Baby Boy on Golden World having two versions with different producer credits - "Popcorn Wylie" or Bob Reeco (then even more variants of different label layouts). Others are significant print size type variations - e.g. Detroit Emeralds - Showtime on Ric-Tic has a normal print size version and a 'giant' print size issue also. Others are just basically the same information but with different label layouts. Typical for Golden World is that many releases have copies with Det. Mich. or Detroit, Michigan at the top of the label, while on other copies this is missing. If you have any specific queries Roger you are welcome to send me a PM. Al You're not alone...I stupidly thought that someone had stuck it on themselves, thinking there was a w/d of it, so peeled off the sticker and used it to cover a label tear on a Vala Reegan demo - and there it still is!
