boba Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 I asked this a couple of times before, but has anyone ever seen or heard this record? I have asked some big collectors and looked through some big chicago collector's collections and it's always been no. I'm wondering how this number got onto the discographies? I can't imagine what an official kellmac label discography with this record would have come from if this record doesn't exist, unless maybe it was from an official onederful discography that was released (since they were distributed by onederful I think and Dave Rimmer made some reference before to Onederful releasing an official discography)? Thanks in advance for any info. p.s. apparently the rainbows on m-pac does exist, according to a collector I talked to (in reference to a previous thread).
Val (Chunky) Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Bob I have a Kellmac demo by the Cod's that doesn't play what it should. I don't know the track it does play. What is the Dreams track called?

What is the Dreams track called? Thanks for responding. The dreams record is "Young man" / "Silent Gossip". The soul harmony singles book even lists it as a female group, I guess that means someone owned it to hear it? What does your CODs play?

I would love to hear it or see a label scan. I've heard and seen everything else on the label. Thanks in advance for any info.

I'll check it out when I get home from work. It's just been sitting on my wall for years.

boba Posted February 19, 2010 Author Posted February 19, 2010 Dead wax markings on the real 'Pretty Baby' show: 8339 but the flip has No dead wax markings on my copy! bizarre! I will try to figure out what it is. Thanks a lot.
Anoraks Corner Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 I've had mis-pressed copies with 1005 labels on them as well. Maybe the guy at the pressing plant was having a bad day and messed up a few recording/label combinations?!

Anoraks Corner Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 you were supposed to respond with a scan and audio of the dreams and then pm me with one for sale cheap... But that is all too easy! I think at least 25 years of hunting and not knowing are required in order to truly appreciate a disc! Never had or seen a copy...I will ask the guys this evening at the collectors doo to see if they can help.
