I've been playing it out at every opportunity, otherwise haven't heard it much. I guess like everything it's supply and demand. Nice to know I got in early for once! Depends how you value it Pete. I was happy to pay £20 for it and would have probably gone to 3x that depending on availability. I hardly ever go by price guides, and never by whoever else is playing it, but just decide how much I rate a tune personally and then try and find it. Yes, but no, but yes...but Johnny Howard for example always was "rarer" as 45s like the Dealers. The Dealers -a great 45 no doubt- is never ever rare enough to justify anything more then 50 UKP top IMO. Even when I was young this 45 was still around in quantities and used to demand 5 UKP... Jimmy Soul Clark "Tell Her"...another timeless Rare Soul 45 that was (and to my knowledge still is) 5 UKP...wonder who will re-activate this and what price tag it will then demand LOL!

OK, have you ever heard of Mick Smith, long standing record dealer and dj. I asked him this morning if he could sell me a copy of The dealers and he says what do you want that crap for, so I said was just asking, he said ok whats that, 15 quid? I said yeah, it should be. I repeat, anyone paying more than £30 for it needs to sort their life out.

And I do understand your view on the 45 not being that rare I suppose we just watch what happens to the availability and price of the dealers as the tune gets popular. I mean your Roy Hamilton cracking up demo is another 45 that lives on sales lists for 100 quid - there are thousands of them in this country - it just has that price cause it is a popular oldie. I bought a mint demo couple of years ago for 20quid just before it went mad 50/60/75/100 even saw one at 150. Saw one a couple of weeks ago back down to 30 which is fairly unusual these days as it seems when a record hits that ridiculous high price it then becomes the norm.
