Guest wigantojapan Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Good sound how much is one is m- condition
Suinoz Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 nice one Good luck finding one for that price. Manship values it at 150 so more like 120 on ebay. As i said..good luck. As for the sound, yes it is a brilliant record and there seems to be a lot of interest in it at the moment so the price could even go up as the deejay's lucky enough to have a copy play it out at venues. I played mine at Rugby and it packed the floor, in fact i was asked a few times what it was. I have just sold it to a deejay in the U.K. so 'watch out for it '. Tony. OZ.
Guest Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 £60/70 as been played for what seems like forever.

Never seen it that low but hey ?? someone might be desperate to sell and i don't recall hearing it played out by any deejay on my jaunts back to old blighty. Mind you it isn't a ' disco ' sound is it lol ? Sleep well mate xx Tony.

I think you should check out popsike for some verification of some ebay prices. I think the previous poster was closer than your valuation (although he was on the low end) and this turns up.

Suinoz Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Hi Tony,it used to be in my play box in the eightys......yep up again, cant sleep You need to cahnge your pillow mate. Anyway i had a phone call today, the caller asked ' what's your favourite Tellytubby ? to which i replied ' 42 inch Samsung Plasma you skinny bugger !!
Rbman Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Manship values it at 150 so more like 120 on ebay...... Oh I must be wrong then if the Manship bible says £150...... It's a guide compliled by a record seller for goodness sake. I've seen plenty go for £60 to £75....ebay is not the only place to buy records either....
Shsdave Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Oh I must be wrong then if the Manship bible says £150...... It's a guide compliled by a record seller for goodness sake. I've seen plenty go for £60 to £75....ebay is not the only place to buy records either.... It's a very played out sound again !!! It's latest resurgence was what 4/5 years ago ? Even then it was only going for around 100 RBman (or is that Rob Man?) is correct, I've seen quite a few at 70. Be patient is my advice
Shsdave Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 ps The comment "deejay's lucky enough to have a copy" is just about every DJ I've ever heard Great record but please no more for next 15 years
Tim Smithers Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Great tune, commen as muck, shouldnt pay more than £70 for it, the price as always been higher than it should be, considering how many there are, ive had at least five in my time and still got one today, most i payed was £50
Anoraks Corner Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 For reference: it was just about in every sales box and on every sales list for £8 and less during the 80's when 100's of copies turned up...along with the Chuck Danzy & Lonnie Lester 'Ain't that a shame' 45 also on Nu-Tone...also a great track but not as Northern as YCG.
Simsy Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Paid £80 from someone on here, got it home and it had a slight warp.
Rbman Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Paid £80 from someone on here, got it home and it had a slight warp. Had you been drinking Ian?
Guest Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Paid £80 from someone on here, got it home and it had a slight warp. How slight ?
kawakid Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Oh I must be wrong then if the Manship bible says £150...... It's a guide compliled by a record seller for goodness sake. I've seen plenty go for £60 to £75....ebay is not the only place to buy records either.... yip max £75
Simsy Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Had you been drinking Ian? Yes. It was massive at the time though. How slight ? Only slight but enough that it should have been mentioned imo.
KevH Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Paid £2 for mine early 90's - but none of this is helping is it?.£50 - 70 orig, came out on 7's or similar as well.
Chalky Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 I wouldn't pay £150 for this, worth half that. As good a record that it is Dj's should be looking for something that hasn't been so over played the last 25 years....no imagination some ;-)
Matt Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 I paid £100 for mine- often play it out as it's a guaranteed floor filler! not so easy to find these days as in demand- best of luck!
