Blackburn All-Dayer?

Anyone remember an all-dayer one Sunday in 1976 (I think) at the Dunkenhalgh nr Blackburn? It was a very posh hotel at the time and we all rolled up fresh fromWigan. The staff were very nervous and kept asking us not to loiter in the "other"areas than the rooms where the event was. They had The Tymes playing live, but I don't remember much else, apart from Maggie Hartley from Burnley falling asleep on the stairs up to the stage.

Anyone else remember this, or have I dreamed it? Stayed at the Dunkenhalgh on business recently, and its hard to imagine an all-dayer there........

I was there, it was more like mid 1975, as I was taking a short break from allnighters after being busted. Strange place really. Do I remember a seating area just raised up along side of the dancefloor, with a mirrored wall? All I can remember sound wise was the 70's style mecca stuff. I'm Shaft, Dance Dance Dance(Liquid Smoke), Who Can I Turn To(Marc Coppage) etc.

No you did not dream it, but like Paul said I think it was 75.

A load of us met up at one of the pubs in Clayton-Lee-Moors and walked down to the Dunkenhalgh.

It felt so wierd, having a big all-dayer so close to home at the time.

I used to go into the Dunk grounds after conkers when I was a kid.
