Guest Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 (edited) Well yesterday was 31st January, a date that is dreaded in my house. Why?? Because it's when i have to pay my tax bill . Which has left me somewhat short of money so here's some interesting 45s up for grabs... Price includes postage worldwide. Payment by paypal only please. Money back if you're not happy with any 45 purchased. Keep an eye on this thread as I will try to add more 45s to the list, if time allows! Jay Walkers feat Mickey Holiday - I Got My Own Thing Going - Selsom. EX+ xol, date stamp on label. Brilliant blue eyed mod dancer. £250 Sonny Knight Quartet - The Groove is On - Celebrity. VG+ due to light surface marks, plays brilliantly. A really tough 45 to get hold of and just starting to pick up in demand. Awesome instrumental dancer! £150 ON HOLD Young Jessie - I'm A Lovin Man - Mercury. VG+ visually VG, plays a strong EX. Sticker on both labels. RnB monster that I've seen listed at silly money, dancefloor packer and getting more interest in it all the time. £100 £70 Bobby King - Thanks Mr Postman - Federal wdj. EX+ Very reluctant sale on this one, but needs must. £125 SOLD Hannibal - My Kinda Girl - King. VG+ water damaged labels, pressing bubbles in vinyl NAP. Going for crazy prices on the bay, not the cleanest copy here but plays well and it's cheap... £75 Eddie Bo - I Found A Little Girl - At Last. EX+ Storming up tempo monster! £30 Velvets with Louis Presean - Estelle Parker - Bofuz. VG+ much cleaner than most copies doing the rounds and plays beautifully. Andy Dyson and mace spin, works in both the RnB and northern rooms. £70 Freddy King - One Hundred Years - Federal. EX+ Classic. £30 Freddy King - Now I've Got A Woman - Federal. M- In demand and last one i saw on ebay sold for just short of £100!! £50 SOLD Big Amos - Move With You Baby - Hi. EX light surface scuffs. Overlooked by many and better than most... £40 Junior Wells - The Things I'd Do For You - Chief. M- Early one from an artist who's done so many killer tracks, from start to finish this is an awesome dancer. £60 Couple of late additions: Bo Pete - Do You Wanna b/w Groovy Little Suzie - Try wdj EX+ Still pretty unknown but starting to get some turntable action and rightly so as it's dancefloor dynamite. £100 Ruby Johnson - Callin All Boys - V Tone. EX+ Classic sound, which I never tire of. £20 Edited February 2, 2010 by Guest

Guest Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Bobby King and Freddy King (Now I've Got A Woman) both sold.
Realpeoplesmusic Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Bloody tax man aint charging you enough if you can afford to keep clarence reid he aint doing his job properly . I cant believe your selling the 'Sonny Knight' mate, A hard record that never turns up. Once it gets more action it's sure to be on lots of poeples wants lists. The Jay Walkers aint bad either .

Ha, think I'd rather play 'dodge the taxman' than sell Clarence Reid....not gonna make the mistake of selling that again (well, unless you win the lottery and give me daft money!). Sonny Knight is a stunning track, but never really play it out...too mod for a northern room and I don't do many spots at RnB nights....... on the rare occasion when I do it always gets a spin, last time was 'Out Of the Blue' and it got a lot of interested faces peering over the decks to see what it was. Got to admit, I'm sort of hoping it doesn't sell or a few other bits sell first.....cos then I can keep it You're wrong about the Jay Walkers though mate...it ain't bad?? Nope, it's fooking awesome
Guest Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Sonny Knight is on hold. Reduced Young Jessie down to £70 as think I had it too high before.
