I thought I'd worked the postage out to 2 quid but then realised it wasn't so I changed it on whatever I could to $3.50, which is about 1.80, which is my usual rate for 1st class recorded. The reason I 'went international' as you put it, was to get maximum exposure and not have to list in the shitty UK ebay soul section!
Ian Parker Posted January 28, 2010 Author Posted January 28, 2010 not knockin it Pete, was just posting on here coz i've not seen it done before. (hence the 'fair play' & ). i spose you're right about the shitty UK soul section.... mind you, there are some goodies crop up occasionally IAN
Pete S Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Also, I do print this at the bottom (of the $4.50 ones): Seller's payment instructions Actual postage rates in UK Pounds - UK 1ST CLASS RECORD £2.00, UK SPECIAL DELIVERY £5.00, EUROPE £2.30, ELSEWHERE £2.50 (APPROX) OVERSEAS REGISTERED POST £6.00 trust me, I never set out to rip anyone off over postage

Reg Scott Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 https://cgi.ebay.co.u...=item1c0fad77ff this seller seems to have gone 'international' to avoid the 'free postage' issue on media sales. so i'm assuming he will charge the full rate on postage to the UK , as well as worldwide? fair play, but the postage is rather high if it is the case I think you're right on the international option.. Quite a few other sellers are using this method and rightly so. For dealers relying on the income from sales as a part or full contribution to their 'wages' then free P&P is a significant hit - as if ebay don't squeeze enough as it is! As regards mayfairmenthol, I'm not sure how international Wolverhampton has become ;-) but fully support Pete's approach! ------------------------------------------ Regards, Greg.
Dave Pinch Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 (edited) yes ive started listing stuff on usa ebay as well and i havent got the hang of the postage thing either. i do deduct a bit tho if someone in uk wins the item . the free postage thing has made me do this and the better exposure for better quality stuff aswell but i still list bits and bobs and uk releases on uk ebay dave Edited January 29, 2010 by dave pinch
