Okay tax man still chewing my balls, so need to liquidise some assets quickly, since I have no assets need to sell some beloved records.

The Following records for sale, add £2 for normal postage £5.50 for special delivery. Would prefer bank transfer as payment, but can do PayPal as gift if possible, or cheque if needed.

All are in good clean condition, may be some slight scuffs or paper marks, happy to give detailed condition description for specified records if required. I will add all sound clips tomorrow but all will play through perfectly unless stated.

Happy to send sound clips and/or pictures of vinyl and labels if required.

Ivy Jo - I Can Feel The Pain (VIP) £125 One of the best, gritty to the extreme. Seems to be picking up favour, after 20 years of trying!

LJ Reynolds - Intruder (Mainstream) £65 Seems to be in vogue at moment, great up-tempo stormer.

Delilah Kennibrew - Bright Lights (Loma WD) £100 Fantastic semi-known, same backing track as Mel Williams Burn Baby Burn (thanks to PD for that) perfect for all these people seeking "something different".

The Larks - Come Back Baby (Money Demo) £50

J.J. Daniels - Mr Lonesome (Sure Shot Demo) £40 The Chalksters revival, brilliant hard soul, proper all-nighter music.

Jock Mitchell - Nomad Woman (Golden Hit) £250 This has hiss through as most copies do, will supply a good quality sound file before buying so you can hear. Same backing track as the magnificent Stuart Ames, but this is 10 times more magnificent, very rarely seen.On Hold

Friendly People - I Ain't Got Nothing But The Blues (VMP) £75 Wigan monster, when it had ditched the rubbish!

Wallace Johnson - Baby Go Ahead (Sansu WD) £65 Seems to be very hard to find, been asked to sell this a lot. Great driving dancer, the kind of uptempo that is hopefully the kind that seems to be in vogue.

Dynamics - You Make Me Feel Good/Lights Out (RCA WD) £60 Great dancer combined with just one of the greatest ballads ever.

Al Johnson - Love Waits For No-One (South Camp) £135 Drill hole on label One of the best beat ballads ever, will break my heart to see this go. Too good to sell

Fabulous Peps - With These Eyes/Love Of My Life (Wheelsville) £90 One of the best double siders out there. Sold

Falcons - Love Like You Never Been Loved/Good Good Feeling (Big Wheel) £150 Possibly the best double sider ever.

Kell Osbourne - You Can't Outsmart A Woman/That's Whats Happening (Loma WD) £90 Almost as good as his Highland cut, what a dancer, great double sider, should be played all over.

Gail Anderson - Be Proud (You're In Love) (Salvador) £100 This just reminds me of that Stafford dance floor and the people, Stafford I salute you.

Johnny Gilliam - Find Yourself Another (Bomar WD) £150 x on the label, ringwear on b-side of label. Gonna keep my battered copy of this and let this go, just one of the greatest records ever to be played, Stafford I salute you part 2.Sold

Jackey Beavers - Bring Me All Of Your Heartaches (Grandlands) £100 Class in a glass, stuff like this just cries out for some attention.

Albert Jones - I Do Love You (Tri City) £80 Great uptempo crossover.

Larry Laster - That's Just What You Did (Duo Virgo) £150 Can't believe this is only going for this, possibly one of my top 10 all timers and much rarer than others at this price, such a shame if there is no place for sounds like this in todays scene. Couldn't bear to sell it so back in the box, sorry Floyd.

Larry Laster - Go For Yourself (Loma Issue) £135 Sold[/u]

Lorraine Chandler - What Can I Do/Tell Me You're Mine (RCA WD) £80 very slight ringwear on label

Rose Brooks - I'm Moaning (Soul City) £165 very slight ringwear on label.

Jesse Fisher - You're Not Loving A Beginner (Way Out) £110, the White label with red swirl,

Willie Tee - First Taste of Hurt (Gatur) £150 Funky, Funky Twist b-side one, unfortunately, but top side one of the biggest crossover records out there.Sold

Syng Mcgowan - Lonliness Is A Pleasure/Just In The Nick Of Time (Hope) £150 autographed by Syng and Betty, assume his wife. See this much less than his other one, and a far far better 45. Top side should be setting the floors of all these uptempo places alight and flip is just great mid tempo sound.

More to follow tomorrow.

Forgot to add some from last list, with decent reductions, I am almost giving these away, although no doubt someone will be able to show me I am not.

These are very clean unless stated.

Billy Hambric - She Said Goodbye/I Found A True Love (Drum) £150On Hold

Tears - Good Luck My Love/What You're Doing To Me (Smash WD) £130 This has what looks like an address stamp on both sides of label.

Clovers - Try My Loving On You (Josie Issue) £65

Bobby Angelle - Too Much For You (Money) £150

Dottie & Millie - Talking About My Baby/Nothing In This World (Topper) £160Sold

Eddie Spencer - If This Is Love (Arc) £75

Jack Montgomery - Baby Baby Take A Chance On Me (Revue Promo) £120

Bud Harper - Wherever You Were (Peacock) £150

Mamselles - Open Up Your Heart (ABC WD) £140

This has some light scuffs.

Updated as Falcons, Peps, and Gail Anderson gone, Larry Laster Loma on hold, few enquiries on a couple of others but still loads left, some bargains there I thought, oh well, a few more to add tonight.

Also got a few thousand at cheaper end, under £100, if anyone has anything they are after within that band, within reason drop me a note, I can only say no. Was hoping to sell the more expensive ones to sell as few as possible, but needs must!

Cheers for the interest.

Sorry Jock not trying to hijack your thread but that fact about Delilah kenniebrew - I've had half a dozen copies and never once have I noticed any similarity between it and Mel Williams, I don't think it is the same backing and if it is, it's half the speed of DK.

Thats a very good point Petra, and actually a danger of internet forums, I think I have only ever heard MW once or twice and then at a do and in all honesty cannot for the life of me remember it. I am merely repeating what has been written to be honest.

Oops.

So in summary its maybe not the same backing but it is a top record that all those alleged "something different" dj should stop back up their words with action and play it!

PS Anyone got a soundclip of Mel Williams?

PPS I do not envy your job of selling records at moment mate, its probably marginally easier being a banker at the moment, or maybe its my technique is no good (at selling not banking!)

Well unlike many people in the sales section, your prices are actually very good and had I been able to make a profit on anything I'd have had several of them. You've just got to be lucky with the stuff you select to sell. last week I sold around 1200 quids worth of records that had not sold when I listed them first time round, I dropped the prices by ten or twenty quid each and they flew out (not that they were overpriced in the first place). yet this week I've barely sold £400 worth. Obviously some people would think that's an awful lot of money to earn in a week, but they probably cost me £300 to start!

Have another listen, Pete. Both tunes have the same tempo and the backing tracks are, if not the same, then extremely similar.

Updated, amazed more at some that are left than those that have gone, will be adding some new ones today I think so may have one last batch at these before I maybe attempt the lottery that is Ebay!

There's at least half a dozen I'd buy but the problem is the usual one, they are priced at more or less exactly what I'd sell them for (therefore they are obviously very reasonable! ). Sometimes I wish I just collected records and didn't just buy them to sell. Jock Mitchell, only ever had that once, fantastic record.

Okay another update as amazingly some still trickling out, some great stuff there, too good to sell in current state was how someone put it on Saturday,or maybe my taste is as bad as some of you have been trying to tell me for years.

Anymore for anymore, off on holiday after Thursday so get in touch before then if interested.

Cheers

Jock
