Great record if you can get by the dirty dog bit!! at the start and end! WHY did they do that?

Ernie Andrews Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 I Havnt seen manship auction one - It was a different Steelers record. IWJBTLY is about £150 I sold mine when their was a bit of buzz on it (opportunist that I am) for slightly more £175 I think.

Shsdave Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Manship had one on his site for ages @ 300, in one of his catalogues 2/3 years ago he had a 50% discount on stuff including this. Dogs or not a great record
Steve Plumb Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Great record if you can get by the dirty dog bit!! at the start and end! WHY did they do that? Yeah, that bit gets me too! I sort of cringe til that's over, luckily it's only a few seconds on intro, then the record kicks in and it then becomes the dogs bollocks then I cringe again as it comes back in on the fade out! Should do a thread on records that have really daft intros then kick in into brilliant dancers. Incidently another one by The Steelers suffers a similar fate imho 'Disturbing thoughts' on AMG! Daft intro, killer 70's dancer after that! Cheers Steve
Ernie Andrews Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 You traded yours with me God you have a good memory - I dont - what did we trade? Regards Steve
Soul-slider Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Fantastic record! I got a copy but had to part with £300 worth of trades about 8 years back. Saw a fella hand over almost that amount in cash at a record fair around the same time too. It's obviously dropped in price then!!!??? 'Crash'...what a great looking label! I've heard the 'Roy Smith' is a good 'un too.
paultp Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 God you have a good memory - I dont - what did we trade? Regards Steve I can't remember but it was three records that had a good value, I hadn't paid full wack for them and they were going to go on my sales site. So I reckon we were both happy with the deal I was anyway, love the record.

Hmm never understood why so many are against that dirty dog bit I quiet like it and think its part of the song. Had to sell my copy to my brother a bad month but at least in good hands. other side brill as well if I remember right
