I know the label was a Michigan based label circa 1968/ 69, not in Detroit itself but in a small toen called Allegan.

Also had releases by white group Mixed Emotions and Lainey Allen.

The backing track was also used on the same label by Lainey Allen, albeit set at a slower pace. Oddly enough most of the copies of this version that were around in the mid-80's had her autograph on the label...odd what one can remember at times! Prefer the Lyrics version by a country mile!

Big sound up Allanton way, back in the 1890's  Pretty sure it progressed from last hour record to middle of night record during that time, although sure it killed the floor at Droylsden and Blackburn for me. I have just been shocked to find out how cheap it is to be honest, always thought this was a hard record to source.

Not sure where I heard this first, which is unusual I am normaally very good aat remembering who I stole my plays off

Top top record!
