depends on which version .... used to be quite expensive at around £3-400 but don't think it held that price

Hull version is a far better record, the Up-Down version sounds like it's been badly edited at a later date to sdd the horns in...BUT will agree the Up-Down one is a better dancer, just not a better record.

Fairly sure John sold his while back.

Sorry, the Hull version sounds like an unfinished demo regardless of whether it's a better or worse dancer. The sound quality is awful, all muffled. Whereas the Up-down version is crystal clear, like the 1st and 2nd cuts of Willie Tee "First taste". With the blue one sounding like an unfinished demo too.

Have to disagree Martyn, the Hull version I had (ta ezzie!) the sound quality was fine, not muffled and certainly not sounding like an unfinished demo. As I've said previously the Up-Down is the better dancer due to the added horns but outside of a club environment the Up-Down clearly sounds like a poor edit with the horns just being added over the top of the Hull version.

Maybe i'll have to get the Hull version on CD or tape to give it another listen Adam. Heard the Hull 45 played out, and it sounded terrible.

The Up-Down version pisses all over the Hull version Adam.

Anymore nonesense from you and I'll have to ask Killa to reduce your dosage.... wink.gif

Evening Mace, nice to hear from you :hatsoff2:

Now get yourself a pair of reading glasses you blind old git and do your very best not to piss your pants for a whole 3 minutes whilst you read what I've posted........yes the Up-Down is the better dancer and is the one to play out, but IMO the Hull one is the better of the two outside of a club environment. Now go have a nice lie down and get some rest :).

Hope you're well mate? See ya soon hopefully.....been a while since I've seen you out and I kinda of miss your special blend of piss taking abuse

Adam, stop being an argumentative tart. Regardless of where it's played, the facts are that the Up-Down pisses all over the Hull version.

Suffice to say, if the Up-Down version had never been released, the Hull copy would probably be a £30 record that no-one could shift.

Pete, I've had both versions....I had no problem deciding which was the better record and sold the Hull copy a few days later.

Adam, stop being an argumentative tart.

But if I stopped being that, what would I do with my life?
