Mark Bicknell Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 Well what a week i've had, turns out after a second visit to my local hospital that i have a nasty break in my left foot, been in hospital since Tuesday night waiting on a CAT scan which i had yesterday, waiting on the results of that which will now be Monday, been let out of hospital for the weekend but have to go back in Sunday teatime, thanks to everyone for the good wishes and messages, emails etc. really makes me feel i'm part of a wonderful scene. Going to be off work and out of action for several weeks so will be unable to DJ for Jon And Sue Buck on August 12th and the Winsford allnighter on August 20th really sorry but under the circumstances it's gonna be almost impossible to attend any venues until i'm fully fit. Will still be doing the Solar Radio gig every Sunday night www.solarradio.com and Channel 879 SKY DIGITAL 8pm - 10pm so at least i can keep my finger in on there. Thanks again for all your support and see you soon. Regards - Mark Bicknell ps it bloody hurts and thought i would get in first with the Long John Silver and parrot gags...lol
Guest alison Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 Tough break Mark, keep smiling and ask that nice nurse to give you a bed bath

OK keep smiling Mark Now for RSG on August 12th @ Westcott we have 2 options Mark a live satellite link from your bed to the venue or I still have a few tapes of your DJ set's @ Leighton Buzzard , I could stick one of these tapes on & get a lifesize cardboard cutout made from my old photo's & stick it on stage next to the decks & I bet no one will even notice that your not really there .....Now on a serious note, I have a few tricks up my sleeve, and should have an perfect replacement for Mark Bicknell for the 12th August of equal status, should know for definate by Tuesday....Watch this space.... Hopefully we shall reschedule Mark's vist to RSG's Westcott Venue to Friday 14th October.... Keep @ It Jon Buck Edited July 23, 2005 by jonbuck

Guest James Trouble Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 That was a nasty fall Mark, but I think we should be thankful the speaker stack didn't tople onto the poor unsuspecting girl minding her own business underneath it. We could have had the first death by crushing on the soul scene. My mate Kate who's promoting "You Know You Got Soul" in Chelmsford with me had a stroke a month or so ago and is going to have neuro surgery by the looks of it to sort out the damage the stroke did to her 28 year old brain. But she's promised she's going to be at "You Know You Got Soul" on the 28th August, so you don't have any excuses past that date Mark. Get yourself back behind those decks ASAP!
