Hi I want to go dancing up here in Liverpool. Unfortunately, it's a bit of a soul music desert. I'm heading over to Manchester for "Daylight" and poss "No Way Out" on Feb 13th...My question is - is there some sort of modern soul calendar or resource some kind person can point me towards? Gotta be said, Mr Jones is a vastly underrated DJ, and a top bloke too!!

White bull is a great event, as is Wakefield City Soul Club @ Red Bar (Yorkshire).

I know neither of these are over your way but some times it pays to travel and you wont be dissappointed!

As been mentioned, the EMS forum is best place to suss out soul on the modern side.

Dont ignore events talk on here either though.

If you're close to Manchester we have our next edition of 'After Hours' as part of the three room New Century Soul, Radcliffe All-Nighter next Saturday January 30th.
