Sjclement Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 (edited) This track hit me right between the eyes when I first heard it at the Casino. Had me rushing to the decks to see who it was I'd always been a fan of the Hot Wax/Invictus lables so I thought it might be Honey Cone or Laura Lee. Totaly suprised to learn that HDH had another lable in the states and it was a young lady called Eloise Laws managed to snag a copy about a year later for £6.00 at the Ritz and it will always be my top ever 'modern anthem' Incidently the record that followed it at the Casino that night was Fantastic Johnny C Don't depend on me got to be another anthem Guess this was all around 74-75 When did the 1st Modern records creep into playlists John Edited January 20, 2010 by sjclement

Guest souldancer Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Is this list nearing 500 yet? Can't wait to see it in it's entireity. Being a person who loves all styles and eras of Modern Soul - its reassuring seeing them all sitting next to each other and it could/should go down in history methinks....
