Just dug this out of a batch of Italian 45s I recently bought blind - quirky release on The Wicked - I think it's great, both sides :lol: - what about you lot?

site note - mp3s deleted as per house rules

I have got this record well the wife has got it I think its ok. How any singers these days would be bothered learning another language to perform it in there country this goes to show the talent wilison pickett had well I think so anyway.

I have a version of "Deborah" on a compilation LP from the 60s which jumps between him singing romantically in Italian and then cracking to funky broadway... :rolleyes:

Yes he did, I have the acetate.

Also have several Italian Motown 45's (Temptations, Supremes etc.) sung in Italian.

Quite the done thing in the sixties .....

most artists would not learn the language just the lyric off by heart ..

still.. more than they would today
