Hi & Happy New Year,

In the interest of 'consumer protection' I thought I'd ask for some info and a second opinion.

I've been scanning the Bay and came across these two classic items with low current prices but high watch counts.

As far as I can see, unless the camera lies as it sometimes does, the Tony Galla looks like a repro and the Natural Four states 'NEW' although it's in a period ABC records sleeve.

I know the Tony Galla's been booted but have I missed a Natural Four repro?

Confirmation and/or info appreciated. See the links below for the items.

I'm pretty sure that the Tony Galla is an original yellow & blue demo, the boot was the white demo with black lettering. Also agree that the N4 is an original.

Trouble is it looks yellow and black, and the first boot was yellow and black...

Thanks Gents,

I didn't think the Natural Four had been repro'd but with the guy stating 'NEW' wanted a second opinion.

The Tony Gala is IMO, as Pete points, the first boot, black tect on a yellow label whereas the original is an inky blue on yellow lable for the issue.

A perfect example of why current auctions shouldn't be hi-lighted on Soul source threads (Unless it's an obvious boot being passed off as an original.).

I was watching the Natural Four hoping to bag a bargain, but there's feck all chance of that happening now.

Cheers.

It's not a big secret Pikey mate.

There were 20+ watchers yesterday, it was listed in the Collectors Weekly mailing list, it's got over 8 days to go and it's not the kind of record when listed properly, as this copy is, that slips under the radar. I'm also looking to bag one but there you go.

The Tony Gala is a repro and isn't clearly listed as such so somebody might just get stopped from a good spanking on that one.

Apologies if I pissed in your soup but it was done with the best of intentions.

Regards,

Greg.

Hi Greg

Probably barking up the wrong tree here, but the 'The Natural Four' has been booted about 4/5 years ago, with Eddie Bishop 'Call Me' on the A side. its a black ABC lable, and was probably put out due to demand of the said record

Scans can be deceiving - see attached which went for $885 in July 07. The seller described it as yellow & blue.

Cheers

Pete
