I don't have the single either. But i do have an album with it on...in stereo, and it sounds superb and cleaner than the single...the album is called "Gabbin Blues" on epic, from sixty something...coverring her okeh recordings from the 50's. You should be able to pick up a copy relatively cheaply too on t'internet. Yes i know you could say, "but i only collect singles..." I can reccommend the album simply for the cut, compared to the single and it's cost to own.

Mike

hope this helps. HNYsmile.gif

I've got the 45 and it sounds great... would like to hear the album cut to compare..

Sorry Pikes, can't do the old sound files. Probably the same cut...just sounds fuller

I also have the 45 and sounds fine to me. The LPs usually play worse.

The 45 plays superb!!!

I'm not saying the 45 plays bad. All I told the chap/ette was that if he couldn't get the 45 there is an album with it on, which i think plays differently..Fuller than the 45. And getting it was, last time i looked, relatively easy.

This particular album like most others has a lower recording level than a 45 yes. But amazingly enough when you turn it up it's a cleaner, recording transfer which in my opinion sounds fuller. In which case it may well be a useful way of owning it until the said 45 would be found to own.

I wasn't dissin' your mamma!

i was trying to help someone.
