It is obvious why the eBay seller has listed " YSICB " as a Rare Soul " record .......

Following the release and worldwide success of " YSICB " in 1977 , Baccra were honoured the following year , by being awarded Germany's most prestigious media award - The Bambi - by The Burda Publishing Group , which is presented annually to " celebrities whose abilities have impressed, moved and enthused the people in Germany "

Simples .

that can apply to a large percentage of the records on ebay!

very true chalky but they dont all claim to be rare and soulful

i love watching trashy euro videos like this. the only thing better are the italo disco performances.

Speaking of Euro pop on the Norhtern Scene ......

My mind is slightly cloudy as it is nearly 35 years ago ( 1975 ) , but I am sure one influential NS DJ covered up , and attempted to break " Save Me " by Euro disco group Silver Bird Convention ( later renamed Silver Bird ) ........

I think that might be a boot Im sure the train on the Rocket label is blue like Thomas the Tank Engine. It is on my copy of Elton John - Kiki Dee - Don't Go breaking my Heart.

This is surely a jest? laugh.gif

Anyway, haven't heard him play it at Capone's yet shhh.gif

You think that is bad John, in lookbacks there are playlists, not i must say at a strictly Northern event as reggae was played amongst other stuff but included Archies Sugar Sugar & Jackie Lee (no not that one) Rupert the Bear. As I say it doesn't seem to be a strictly Northern event but somebody actually praised the playing of Rupert & called it the lighter side of Northern Soul FFS . I assumed at first it was a wind up but to be honest I don't think it is...................although I think Moldie is stirring the cooking pot wicked.gifthumbsup.gif
