Guest Nick Harrison Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 I dont know but it gets played in my living room if thats any help?! Hi Steve and it sure should be heard "anywhere".....................................but I bet it sounds better in a LS post code than a BD post code area. .
phillyDaveG Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 I love these "who played it first" threads, they crack me up. At a guess, the 1st person that bought it.
Guest Nick Harrison Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 At a guess, the 1st person that bought it. No that's not the correct answer, I asked was it ever played at the Mecca, NOT who first played it. But my question is for a research purpose only, of which you declined to answer, had you of known.
Dave Pinch Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 i know that this is probably no help to ya nick but the first time i heard this was around 20 years ago and it was derek pearson that played it. great 2 sider tho dave
Rich B Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 I don't know if it was played at the Mecca I'm afraid, though it does have that sound to it doesn't it? I would like it on my ipod though, fantastic New York, 'fake' philly at a guess... best, RB
Ernie Andrews Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 It was definately played by Barry Stanton - At Blackpool Casino - Thats where I heard it first so I would suggest it was played at the Mecca Other side is good as well
