Just posted up The Drifters - White Christmas on Facebook - love it!! Or have a listen on YouTube.

Alan

Had that in my favourites since last christmas , I'm sure somebody posted it on SS last year.

Is it the cartoon style one with Santa and Reindeer ?? Belting xmas tune I played to

everybody who came round last year and they all wanted to know where they could get it.

A possible Christmas number 1 eh! better than the other shite that gets to no.1 !!!

Happy Christmas

lisa miller - loneliest christmas tree canterbury

I'm going christmas shopping - Choker Campbell and ? - Magic City

Rob Moss played me this a few years back, i'm sure he will be able to fill in the missing artist.

Great uptempo northern dancer, which because of the title can only be played at this time of year.

Flipside of The Flirtations "Nothing But A Heartache" is a great track called "Christmas Time Is Here Again".

And it isn't really Christmas without "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" by Darlene Love, is it?

Quite a cool cd in Starbucks a couple of years ago with Xmas soul songs - Titled - 'Jolly Old Soul'

Included a few good ones which are always worth a spin this time of year!!

Solomon Burke - Presents for Christmas (superb!)

Booker T - Silver Bells

Clarence Carter - Back Door Santa (funky southern soul)

Otis Redding - Merry Christmas baby (brilliant!!)

Carla Thomas - Gee Whiz, its Christmas

Donny Hathaway - This Christmas

William Bell - Every day will be like a holiday

Worth trying to pick up or get a couple on vinyl!

Best xmas grfeetings - adam

Prefer the Instrumental Flip though....

Merry Christmas All............

Bought this on Spanish Polydor in Lloret De Mar following heavy disco play back in 1972 and not played it much since so will dig it out. Agree about the flip.

One I do keep digging out this time of the year is.

The O'Jay's- Christmas Just Ain't Christmas (Without the one you love) which bounces along in typical philly fashion.

Surprised nobody has mentioned the brand new IMPRESSIONS CHRISTMAS ALBUM-I'M COMING HOME FOR CHRISTMAS

Not exactly full of stompers, but this cd from the line up that delighted the fans who saw the Impressionsin Northampton is well worth checking out.

Can be ordered from various internet sites, but worth trying UK suppliers first.

MERRY CHRISTMAS
