John Reed
Scheduled for release at the height of Stax's troubles and wondered if this got released as I've never seen one. Cheers, John Link to comment Social source share
jocko
I have never seen an actual LP John, I wasnt aware that it had been touted for release, would love to know. I did buy a CD a couple of years ago which I think she did hereself that I am sure had at least one unissued track from that era which was pretty good, Will dig it out tonight, could maybe even change my EMS list, again and pu t it on CD swap! Hi Jock The LP never came out unless there's test pressings of it (which would be nice!). Probably suffered the same as the Sandra Wright LP due to Stax' demise? From memory, that track was called summat like 'He moves me'? Brilliant midtempo, sort of Almeta Latimore ish BUT the quality of the recording weren't good and sounded muffled played out (from memory?) Wrongcrowd
That's right Steve..He Moves Me, issued on her Red Hot album, 2006. I know what you mean, it's a great little track very like Almeta Latimore, but doesn't feel quite finished. Link to comment Social source share
Sean Hampsey
"My baby is my generator that turns my motor on.... and keeps me running smooth" ... just might have been the lyric that killed it! Sean Link to comment Social source share
