Im sorry, its probably not everyone's cup of tea! :g:

But all the patches have alot of meaning for me, some are all the soul nights i have been to, a few were my own design & the others were left to me by my best friend, who is no longer with me.

The red one is quite strange, its made up of a heavy, but hard sack like cloth, i was not sure if i liked it at first, but it does have a larger space inside, which was handy, as women seen to carry too much! :g:

My Dad used to have an identical one to the red one, except that the plastic sections were royal blue rather than red. Yeah, lovely hessian design, you do not see many of them about.thumbsup.gif

They were known as Target bags in Manchester--------------coz if anybody walked into the boozer carrying one,the locals would target them.............................

I love the history attached to these bags

Pete may not have his original bag anymore(due to wear n tear and it would of been 38yrs old. zips n handles eventually break over the years ,when regularly used, being dragged through train and bus stations and being sat on when theres no seats and used as pillows and are took to every venue and are pulled open by the "squad" when being searched.....to find an original one in immaculate condition must be worth a fortune) but he still has alot of his original badges from his long distant youth. my bag and badges disappeared into the twilight zone long ago...never to be seen again. But i now have a new collection of badges some original(that my dear better half has either given me or bought me) and more recent badges. but in general ,

venues i have visited both past and present.

Erm excuse me ...Mr Bicknell..but my bessie mate and driver on the scene got me a lovely one in beige with black trim..which goes very well with my beige mac....with black trim..and i am more than happy to take a bag like that out with me...on occasion ..when it matches me outfits for the nightme thinks it is ...better than the ones who had to buy their Wigan Anniversary badges..paste em up on the soul travel bags..than those of us...whom got them badges free..the first time around and absolutely refuse to buy the repoductions..now!!!!!..but hey ...horses for courses

Ian Turner (soulminer) still uses his, spare shirt, deodarant, book of excuases for being late home etc etc

I spotted a Capital Soul Club badge ohmy.gif I had no idea the Dome sold patches.

Let's be honest , putting those patches on a bag is the equivelent of your grandad putting those shields on his walking stick
