I may be wrong, but I was told in the past when I enquired about it that they can't update the bids particularly quickly. I got bitten once, bidding early and seeing my bid price on there right up to the end of the auction, but then found out that I'd been outbid without knowing it. If I bid now, I go in during the last hour of the auction. Perhaps other people have cottoned on to this. BTW, full apologies to Tim & co if I have misunderstood this, definitely not my intention to bad-mouth them, but it does seem weird.
