( Lovely Northern / Crossover tune on topside while flip is a cool, sweet soul ballad and this copy looks to me like it has been played once-and-once-only - both tracks lifted from their rare / indemand / wonderful 'Risin' LP on the same label which is now hitting £200 (again) on the Bay... )

( Superb, funky R&B dancer - tuff to find clean...scruffy label here too - so priced low... )

Johnny & The Expressions 'Shy Girl' / 'Now That You're Mine' (Josie / USA / 1960s / Ex+) *£15*

( Another belting double-sider - topside is lovely / floaty midpaced Northern of the highest calibre - reminds me a lot of 'Show Stopper' by the Cashmeres - yep - I rate it THAT highly while the flip is gorgeous, heartfelt deep - and on a Josie white demo too - good, solid SOUL record at a great price - whaddya waiting for? )

The Dells 'The (Bossa Nova) Bird' (Pye International / UK / 1962 / Ex/Ex) *£10*

( I believe this to be THE first Dells record ever released in the UK? Lovely copy of this excellent early Northern Soul / R&B dancer - never had / seen this one before on UK. Nice UK piece...I've graded Ex/Ex as it's in a Pye International custom bag which is nice in itself but has a few creases while the wax grades Ex too - still in very, very solid condition but with a few scuffs / non-audible marke here and there... )

( Love the lyrics on 'What Good Is A Castle' - so thoughtful and deep - very worthy b side too - lovely 45 - taken from Joe's 'Riot' LP.....fantastic Latin Soul double-sider from golden-voiced Joe....the man was a TALENT )

( Now getting to finally get some much-deserved attention at last - I've been raving about this one for years - superb Mecca-style groover that would have deffo been a biggie back in the day, had it been known - recently seen @ £60.......lovely copy... )

Earles Inc 'Does Your Mother Know' / 'Close To You' (Zudan / USA / 1960s / Ex) *£15*

( Dunno quite why I like this 7" so much - I just do - if ya bought Lost Generation 'This Is The Lost Generation' then ya also need this to keep it company...WORD - the flip is also cute in a kinda street corner quartet / Doo-Wop stylee - made me feel nice and warm on a cruel and cold autumnal afternoon...and this is a white demo too - few marks on the vinyl which made me give it the Ex grade... )
