Pete S Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 So fair enough, some people get fooled by bootlegs and repros but here's a seller advertising a Frank Wilson on Soul, correctly and honestly, as a re release (it's hardly likely to be an original)...and some people have bid over £50 for it despite it being available from most dealers at £5 or £6. Nutters. https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FRANK-WILSON-DO-I-LOVE-YOU-INDEED-I-DO-7-SINGLE-MINT_W0QQitemZ300367796616QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Records?hash=item45ef50d988

Glynthornhill Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Are these buyers mad Pete , just been released from the mental institute to try Ebay out on a trial basis. Beggars belief , but as they say one born every minute - if only the rest of us could get those prices for reissues eh ???
Guest Brian Ellis Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Chances are they haven't read the small print (although it's big enough for any myopic to see). Suspect they're not too savvy about the differences between original and re-issues, they've just seen the title and label and think they've spotted the bargain of a lifetime. Bet their hearts will be pounding as the clock counts down. Oh dear . Brian
Simsy Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Bidder 4 is the one who took it from £20 to £40 and is the current high bidder at £51.00. I wonder what his reserve is?
