Here is another one of Steve Midgley.

Taken in the Old English Tavern in Darlington, on a Sunday night as a farewell to Kev Smith who was about to go and spend some time as a guest of HMP Durham. He gave me his Eddie Parker Love you baby, that night. Kev if you are out there I still have it.

From left to right Fiona; Kev Smith; Steve Midgley and ? can't remember her name. Anyone know?

Where are they now?

Thanks for those Lorraine, Steve was a lovely guy.

Here is one I have posted before but for anyone who missed it, I took this photo at the Torch end of 71' maybe you can put names to the ones I have forgotten, made the mistake of not writing the names on the back at the time, only the date.

Names I do remember, left to right - Keith Shepherd (Hyde), Kenny (Preston), Guy at the front left Ric Tic (Grantham), girls behind and beside him Birmingham, guy in stripey jumper - Neal (Grantham), Dessi (Preston), Christine (Wolverhampton)

Swish this is your fault, discovering your treasure trove of memorabilia has us all looking back through our archives hoping there might be something we missed before!

Anyway here is another piccie I've found. I think this was one Sunday morning after the Cats. Pictured is Brian Lear and Pete Tilsley (Stockport), Dave Preece and Christine (Wolverhampton) and again I just can't remember the name of the second girl but she was also from Wolvs. Not very often you saw Pete without his glove on!

Rick (Ric-Tic) Clarke, well there's an old face. Main 45 spinner at local midweek do. Even though I was a 16 year old sprog at the time and just getting into it I always got on ok with Rick whereas some of the other local Torchites used to just blank us young 'uns.

Ain't seen him since just after the Torch closed and last I heard he was in Canada. Memory is crap nowadays but can't place the other Granthamite Neal.

Malc - look forward to hearing of Steve's escapades, if I knew him it will be a funny story, he always made me laugh. Found another of him with the gang on Torquay beach after a night at the Compass Club , again 72 (we got around a lot that year). Bit hazy but you may be able to make out a few faces.

Anyone know the name of the bar featured in Blackpoolshades.gif

The only ones I can really make out are Phil Holt , Steve and your good self .

The girl sat in front of you three looks very familiar , but for the life of me I cannot recall her name .

Any chance of posting a clearer photograph ?

Promised these photos for Swish

Taken over a period of time between 71 and 73 on the way to or after various events, Cats, Bletsoe, Torch, Blackpool etc etc.

Remember once being in the Four Seasons Cafe in Nottingham on a Saturday afternoon (regular haunt in those days on Saturday) with all the Nottingham Soul Crowd, the Drug Squad came and and marched the whole lot of us up to the Shire Hall for interrogation (must have been about 20 or so of us). Being a young innocent I found it all very exciting. When they searched my bag, they pulled out the long string of these photos which I carried around with me and told me I obviously knew some villains, I said absolutely not??????? no.gif

Anyway hope you like looking at some of the old mug shots!

See if you can name them? There's only two of them that I don't remember their names.

To be honest,I look at old photos and think I recognise people and It takes a gentle nudge at times to get the memory going---------------I still get people asking me if I remember places times and faces and can't remember-----------I can't think why.

There are familiar faces on all the photos, but I've never been good at names.

Again thanks for posting,
