Guest Brigid Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Swish this is your fault, discovering your treasure trove of memorabilia has us all looking back through our archives hoping there might be something we missed before! Anyway here is another piccie I've found. I think this was one Sunday morning after the Cats. Pictured is Brian Lear and Pete Tilsley (Stockport), Dave Preece and Christine (Wolverhampton) and again I just can't remember the name of the second girl but she was also from Wolvs. Not very often you saw Pete without his glove on! Brigid

Main 45 spinner at local midweek do. Even though I was a 16 year old sprog at the time and just getting into it I always got on ok with Rick whereas some of the other local Torchites used to just blank us young 'uns. Ain't seen him since just after the Torch closed and last I heard he was in Canada. Memory is crap nowadays but can't place the other Granthamite Neal.

Guest Brigid Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 Malc - look forward to hearing of Steve's escapades, if I knew him it will be a funny story, he always made me laugh. Found another of him with the gang on Torquay beach after a night at the Compass Club , again 72 (we got around a lot that year). Bit hazy but you may be able to make out a few faces. Anyone know the name of the bar featured in Blackpool Brigid

Guest Brigid Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 Promised these photos for Swish Taken over a period of time between 71 and 73 on the way to or after various events, Cats, Bletsoe, Torch, Blackpool etc etc. Remember once being in the Four Seasons Cafe in Nottingham on a Saturday afternoon (regular haunt in those days on Saturday) with all the Nottingham Soul Crowd, the Drug Squad came and and marched the whole lot of us up to the Shire Hall for interrogation (must have been about 20 or so of us). Being a young innocent I found it all very exciting. When they searched my bag, they pulled out the long string of these photos which I carried around with me and told me I obviously knew some villains, I said absolutely not??????? Anyway hope you like looking at some of the old mug shots! See if you can name them? There's only two of them that I don't remember their names. Brigid
