Guest miff Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 (edited) Just got, BOBBY M & JEAN CARN -LET'S STAY TOGETHER, and saw it was on UK Gordy must admit to not being up on Motown or modern soul so was a bit suprised to see it, so whats the story behind the lable I guess its an 80 s thing, any more nice tracks on the lable, How many releases on it . Dave Pinch Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 when rca took over the rights of motown in 1982 they gave the gordy label its own imprint in the uk. they did this for about 5 or 6 years i think. theres lots of releases................... stone city band, debarge, el debarge, val young etc dave
