BROWNSTONE RECORDS

Baz,

Do you mean James Brown's Brownstone?

If so, in the back of the James Brown autobiography which came out in the late 80's there's a definitive discography by Cliff White. Which includes James Brown recordings and related releases on his labels such as Try Me, People & Brownstone, if that's the one your after.

Hi Baz,

There's a version of Johnny K.Killens "don't need help"(deep city) on drive,by the ???can never remember if it's the profiles or prolifics...Boba knows,as he's corrected me before.

Brilliant version(got put onto this by Chris Ashby)...been after one for years.

This might tie up with the Johnny K outings on drive.

If anyone's got one for sale let me know

Best
