Guest Carl Dixon Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 (edited) In the early days of trying to understand digital aggregation, I put a few of my demos up on various sites with a view to seeing how the infrastructure worked on uploading, and offering for sale. I may remove and consolodate these and future demos on a new site and judge reaction on sales, whether I proceed and earmark them for more of a professional recording. I thought it may be of some interest if I post the links here for your perusal. They are retro in style circa late 1960's. The history of them goes back to about 2001 when I first started to write seriously, with that ultimate passion of going to Detroit. 'That creaky old chair' - I tried to capture a Ric Tic metallic type instrumental. You can download a full length sample here, and also buy a better quality version. Payloadz offer a 'store' facility to sell your goods, taking a commission for their intervention: https://store.payload...air-by-CDO.html 'Flaming Pie' and 'The Swing' - I wrote these with a view to getting them placed on a Ryder Cup/Detroit golf production in the UK as sting/bubble/break bumper material. It did not work out and 'library' music was favoured! 7digital offer a service to singers and bands who want to sell their products without aggregation to the likes of iTunes and Amazon: https://indiestore.7digital.com/cdo/ Feel free to have a listen to the samples etc. Any feedback welcome. In the process of doing this I found a track on here which I think has great potential called 'No more lies' by Alicia Harris. That solo bass could do with a tambourine or some finger snaps in my opinion. https://indiestore.7d...m/aliciaharris/ Edited November 15, 2009 by Carl Dixon
