Hi,

I know this - Sunday's Child / What Are You Thinking / Reprise 0959 - was covered up under a couple of different names by a couple of DJ's. And I know it was the flip to an unsuccessful gospel type release but..

To satisfy my anorak side, can anybody tell me the artist name and title used for the c/u's and the Dj's who played the record as a c/u.

I think this may have been covered in part but I just wondered if I could get a definitive answer in a single thread.

Thanks for your help.

Regards.. :)

Dave Abbott had this covered up as 'Voices Inc - Thinking Again', but i think it was covered up ooooooop North as Sandra Stephens, not sure who was playing it out first though.

Hope this helps some what.

This is is the info I have to date and, unless somebody can tell me otherwise, I'll presume it to be correct and add it to my anorack database.

DJ: Karl Heard - C/U Title & Artist: 'Sandra Stephens - Have You Been Lonely'

DJ: Dave Abbott - C/U Title & Artist: 'Voices Inc. - Thinking Again'

Thanks for your help..

As far as I'm aware. This was first played by Cliff Camfield at the Burnley Allnighter......not sure on date......I then got a copy and played it a couple of times, then sold mine to Honky in New York. Also about that time Cliff got a couple of spare copies, one of which went to Karl H. Not sure how long Dave Abbott had been playing it, but was very supprised when he played it in his spot at Burnley.g.gif

I called it Sandra Stevens, think maybe Barrie Waddington made up the name though.

Phil.

Personally first heard about this from Dave Abbott and then got a copy from Phil Rains who I think Dave had put onto it. Wasn't hugely bothered about it but had a feeling that if I could get a copy and hence the artist/title/label details I would be able to turn one or two up to sell on. Same day as I got the copy from Phil in the post I headed to my storage unit where majority of my 45s are kept and pulled 2 out of a box of Reprise stuff! Both got traded on, can't remember where one went but one went to Killa who then traded it to Karl. I believe Karl was already playing it but from the LP....don't know if Cliff originally did the same or if he had the 45?

Barrie had some for sale for good length of time, so assume he had multiples....because of this I had made the assumption that it was his 'discovery' but not sure now if thats correct.

For what it's worth, I've been playing it covered up as the Divine Sweets for reasons that may become clear sometime in the hopefully not too distant future. The LP is good (and cheap), but I think "What are you thinking" is my favorite of the lot.
