Manship lists 2 mixes (1st & 3rd) sure I remember reading somewhere there were 3 mixes released.

Have to say Tony that is completely different version to mine (think mine is 3rd not sure too late to start looking now) LCs vocal & phrasing sound very different. Prefer mine but I've had it almost 30 years so I'm very used to itthumbsup.gif

Hi Dave what's this one then, is it the same as yours. https://helium.lunarpages.com/~funky4/podcasts/radio61.mp3

Howard and Lou's records are two totally different records so I can't see a comparison, Howard's (or should I say Teddy's)is great until you hear the lack of mature lyrics.

And Howard Guyton is still the best version by a country mile.

definitively...in my opinion, Lou Courtney is completively out on this song..., he sings out of tune...which is not the case on other tracks he did for Popside, Riverside, Buddah...

VERY pissed off ! ranting_1.gif spent an age trying to describe the difference between my version & the ones that you have posted Tony & something went wrong when posting it leaving this page blank, really fkd off

Anyway here we go again, briefly this time, mine is slightly more uptempo, drums busier & more prominent & seems a more meaty version though listening to yours on mini computer speakers could be the reason that it seems more lightweight.

Girlie chorus more involved on mine throwing in a few "yeah......yeah yeahs" On your clips (which sound very similar/identical?) Lou takes their place with mmm mmms, yeahs etc.

The intros are different, mine kicks in with "Yeah I watched you etc" rather than yours with "mmm mmmm girl said I watched you" also on yours when singing the title he tends to raise or lower his voice on certain words. Sorry mate can't do mp3s etc happy to play it over the phone though ?

As to Lou singing off key, while they may be old & past their best not to these ears he isn't !

& I like Howard Guytons version........nowhere near as good as Lous thoughthumbsup.gif
