Guest BIG H Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 Right folks here my problem, i.m away to downsize house next month which means a good chunk of my vinyl sadly has to go, the stuff i've decided to part with will mainly be my soulful house and garage 12's and most of LP's, now i know some of the early house/garage 12's are collectible (labels like easy street, bottom line, emotive etc etc) and maybe worth money, but to be honest i'm not really that bothered the cash side of things, i just want to get them of my hands as easily as possible for a fair price, so here the questions........ 1 does anybody know of any dealers that would be interested in a bulk buy? 2 is it worth listing them on here? 3 is it worth putting them on e-bay or discogs? any ideas? ATB Harry
Guest Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 Have you tried Dave Thorley, Harry? His Top Dog website offers all kinds of stuff for sale.
Haydn Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 Not got any ideas H, but i got the same problem myself. I been keeping them thinking i will use them but never get a chance to play them out. They are good for mixing and spinbacks in the house. Some of the lesser ones have gone to the boy to enhance his tricks on the decks, lol.
Northern Soul Uk Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 My view on this is sell your wife and kids first to make room and then the records come last LOL. I made the huge mistake of selling all my Disco 12s in the early 90s thinking that I would never play them again, and then what happens, a massive resurgence of Disco in the late 90s. Had to end up trying to get them all back cos I was getting offered gigs to play disco. have you thought about putting them into storage, or buying a secure shed to keep them in? You will get pennies from them from a dealer, you'll be very lucky to get 50p each mate believe me. Sad but true unfortunately.
Guest BIG H Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Thanks for replys folks, , looks like i'm going to have to spend the long winter nights going through 1000's of LP's and 12's deciding what's going where, thank f**k keeping my 7's the're a lot easier to store ATB Harry
