November 22, 200915 yr Just got off the phone after talking with my old mate--Les Alderson ,and sad to say his health is not too good and to all intents and purposes--"the longest attendee on the scene" is calling it a day, he did confirm that his first "nighter"(or as he says they were called "throughers" in them days) was Feb 1959 at the old Flamingo in Soho.He says his fave club off all time was The Scene(Ham Yard/Great Windmill St.)followed closely by Va.Va,s,Stafford,100 Club, and Wigan Casino (altho he says he used to attend nighters in Wigan in the Mid to late 60,s,but he can,t remember the club,s name. Enjoy,Les Tony C.
