I don't know the names of the group members but:

"I'm Not Satisfied" is written by James Edward Gregory.

"There He Is" is written by James Edward Gregory and Myrtle Elliott.

I guess that James last name was where the label name GREGORY came from.

Both sides on this 45 are published by NIMBIG MUSIC which these days is owned by Howard R. Biggs. He is the son of Noah Biggs who started the SHIPTOWN and HOW BIG labels.

More info about Shiptown/How Big etc.can be found here:

Here is a tiny picture of The Dream Team (from the site above):

Will dig out the beach music book and scan the Dream Team picture and post it up if I remember it.

This is apparently James Edward Gregory:

According to the booklet with the Ol' Virgina Soul - Part1 CD, they were a group oh high school girls that won a local talent competion and got the attention of Frank Guida.....the notes only give their first names as Madeline, Jeanette, Evelyn and Pat...so not much help...though according to the notes they disbanded soon after recording "There He Is" / "I'm Not Satisfied"..

I just had a look... and damn what an unnecessarily gigantic book that is! A great and informative read/look ofcourse, but the size and weight of it is ridiculous. Anyway... there's actually a different photo of the Dream Team in there. Here it is:

Not relevant to this thread, but from the same book, here you have The Deadbeats of "No Second Chance" fame:

Anybody got any idea where the arr. N. Johnson comes from?

Could there be a Norman Johnson link?

Kev

Just gone through the Shiptown website and as there's a Showmen record I can see the link now.

Great info

Thanks chaps.
