Guest James Trouble
Euro talent Lefties Soul Connection featuring Corrina Grayson and a track called "You Don't Know". Not sure about any release schedule on this, I've got it on a dub and it's right at the front of the play box and will be there for some time to come, I think Ian Wright has it on 45 as well. Propa good stomping soul stormer, and fingers crossed it'll get a 45 release and the exposure it deserves from DJs on the scene. I was out with Corrina in Ronnie Scott's last night as our pal, Paul, was DJing upstairs. They've just finished a UK tour which went really well (and an appearance on Craig Charles' BBC radio show). The gig in Leeds at Hi-Fi on the Sunday night was rammed with about 250 people crammed in. Look out for it peeps. Guest James Trouble
Okay so which one is the Emporer and which one is the Tailor then? Those tailor made soul records, shocking, I tell you! All those folk who have made records over the years to sell, seriously, Motown was the the worst, what a cheek, pulling the wool over the eyes of the world who thought they made soul records by accident in their kitchens. What a liberty! When really what they were doing was making records in a style they liked, that sounded good, and in the hope they would sell some copies and make a few quid. Shocking, no place for that kind of thing on the soul scene, no sir. But going by their lack of promo around these parts, I doubt they really give a shat about whether the soul scene in the UK likes it or not. Benji
Rather generic and very hectic IMO. They'd rather stick to their Funk. If Trouble's "scene" needs to rely on tracks like this it's really in a sad state... Link to comment Social source share

If Trouble's "scene" needs to rely on tracks like this it's really in a sad state... I for one have no wish to hear it out, at Lifeline or anywhere else. It's ok for what it is, pretty good actually but it ain't all-nighter material IMHO. But each to their own. There's plenty of good 60's and 70's that deserve spins long before stuff like this. Illegally copying to Dub Plate without permission for playing out is just as bad as the wanabees who play boots Good record though! Corbett80
I preferred the Cooking On Three Burners track as a new release but would have to agree with Chalky with regard to this record in particular. Play the other side of your Primers acetate James, as i remember that was an excellent bit of mid tempo soul that deserves an airing! Link to comment Social source share

Guest Alviz
Hi guys, Thanks for the compliments. Just doing our thing... If you're interested to buy the 45, please contact the record label www.mpmsite.com. I think some copies will go to (online) record stores too. If you are in Amsterdam you can get them at Waxwell records (maybe they will bring copies to Utrecht ARC too).
