Guest Posted April 26, 2004 Posted April 26, 2004 LOL, I really want to say yes and let you win Kolla ;-))) First clue - from Detroit
Guest Kolla Posted April 26, 2004 Posted April 26, 2004 Oh - that's not a proper clue... was she on wheelsville ?
Guest Posted April 26, 2004 Posted April 26, 2004 Don't think so, can't find her on any listings I have! Want another clue?
Guest Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 LOL dave ;-) Lonette Mckee - yes, well done, she sang a record called Blue Jeans :-) your turn
Guest Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 Cheers Janine. I LIKE this game. This one has to be a quickie though as I'm of to the dentists in 20 mins. If no one gets it before then I'll tell all and throw it open> Tooley. Here goes:
Guest Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 Oh yeah, a clue. Sounds like they liked a drink :o)
Guest Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 Bob on Dave. Didn't even get to post the clue about their dad sounding like a Short Order Chef! Off to the House of Pain now. Over to you mate.
Dave Rimmer Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 Okey dokey........No clues to start with. Might be a bit harder this one because it's not a publicity shot, it's a photo I took. There again, if you think though all the live acts I might have seen over the last ten years you might get it through a process of elimination.
Chalky Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 Marv Johnson? Looks like one of the artists form Yarmouth days????
Guest Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 I think Kolla's right - Sam Dees. It certainly looks a lot like him
Dave Rimmer Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 Nope, not Sam Dees. This is a picture I took of Sam Dees at the Thorne tavern (?)
Dave Rimmer Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 But talking of Marv Johnson and Yarmouth, here's one of him. How do I make them smaller, I assume Kolla or mike reduced the one of.......?
Guest Kolla Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 Yep - I am reducing the picture sizes for ya. You're putting them up at a res of 1200dpi. Screen res should be 72dpi ): My second guess is Lou Courtney.
Dave Rimmer Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 Nope not Lou Courtney. If you want a photo of him I'll have to scan one in.
Guest Kolla Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 Nooooooooo - I don't want a photo ... I WANT a good CLUE.
Dave Rimmer Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 Ok, clues: Detroit, lead singer of a group. The group he is in is related (family wise) to the Detroit Emeralds in some way. I didn't see Terry Callier when he was over, so it's not him.
Dave Rimmer Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 Spot on Brett. It is indeed Sweet James, photographed at the Torquay weekender.
Guest Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 Right file might be a bit large not certain how to alter it, so apologies. But who is this
Guest Kolla Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 Ritchie - it is! You beat me to it by ooh, a day!! Anyway...according to the picture caption it's "Pastor Patrinell Staten Wright - 1969" Cheers Brett for pulling that one out the hat - hardest one yet. Guess it's your turn now, Ritchie.
Ritchieandrew Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 Thanks Kolla / everybody, I'll do my best to find something a.s.a.p. Regards Ritchie.
