Just so you're aware of this in case you don't know it: the sound quality on the LEE JOHN label 45 is shockingly thin on the "Birth Of A Playboy" track compared to the MAPLE and CANYON issues. It's the exact same recording on all three 45s, but the LEE JOHN 45 suffers from very poor mastering.

but the other side isnt and is much better....love for my girl..

The flip on the Canyon and Maple releases is also a good track and they tend to turn up in good condition and as mentioned a very clear mastering of the 'playboy'.

It depends whether you want the first release on Lee John that bad. Matter of each to their own..

Thank you Sebastian, I've listened to both and I agree. Now changed it to the Chosen Few for the later Maple or Canyon copy. Edited by Tony Foster
