It's OK and big improvement on usual pop rubbish that's in the charts but it's not something that really makes you sit up and really listen is it??? Sort of thing I would buy a copy of like I do with lots of other new vinyl releases like Jazzman, Daptone stuff. For a £5 it's a nice little addition to the collection but I'd think twice if the price was £10 and not bother if it was £15.....so when people said it sold for over £100 on ebay I laughed so much thought I'd wet myself If you haven't been swamped by PMs already Ian I expect you will be soon! Expect plenty are offering to buy all 10 for between £100-£200??? I'd take one for £5 but even then not that bothered if I miss out. Slightly different slant, this was covered up by some DJs when first released and I just don't understand that....wow just found this great new release soul record, I'm going to cover it up so nobody will know what it is which I'm sure will really help the artist/label who have released it make a bit of cash so that they can continue to make more good records.....or will it reduce their income and prevent them from doing more tracks in the future?? Adam.
Guest HALIFAXFREESOUL Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 Just my opinion but I've never understood the hype on this. It's OK and big improvement on usual pop rubbish that's in the charts but it's not something that really makes you sit up and really listen is it??? I think it appeals to a wider spectrum of people than the old school purists that some of us are. and it certainly makes a lot of people sit up and listen round my way. What I mean is it gets the 20 and thirty somethings up and dancing. And its my four year old sons "best song ever dad!" I paid £24 for my copy and its worth every penny to me. and i wouldnt sell it either. but then and again all i seem to do is buy! respect
