I personally didnt attend and am simply doing this on behalf of the affected people...... I've just found out that Trevor & Ann Heath from Wales had their banner pinched from the main room. This is what they put on their facebook: "What a great time we had at Prestatyn.....Chuck Jackson was awesome.The weekend was marred by the fact that our Northern Soul North Wales banner was stolen from the front of the stage.We have had the banner for many years and it is well travelled on th...e scene so it will be easily recognizable. Whoever has taken it will not be able to display it ANYWHERE, so it will be of no use to them whatsoever as they are made to order and it is a one off. It's beyond belief that someone on the soul scene would stoop so low as to do a thing like this or maybe not as we hear of DJ's having records stolen, our banner was not as expensive as many DJ's records but it has great sentimental value to us. Anyone involved with these despicable acts needs exposing.We look on the Northern Soul scene as our extended family obviously not everyone has the same feelings, would you steal from your FAMILY????If anyone has any information please contact us or any of our friends" I've attached a picture of them with the banner. Trevor's the guy on the left and Ann next to him. They're two of the nicest people you'd ever wish to meet and have been through some pretty horrific times in their lives over the last couple of years. So whilst this banner may not mean much to the average joe bloggs, it means alot to them. If you know anything about who took it, whether it was a mistake / accident or blatent theft, Or saw anything, please get in touch. Could just be a misunderstanding but i really hope we can get the banner back to these wonderful people as it has true sentimental value to them. Guest familytree Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 i agree with imberboy... you really have to ask the venue staff no matter what time it was... we dress venues and have had night staff remove items never to be seen again because no one knows what the other is doing on these long events... we think our stuff ended up in the bin! grrrr... its very possible ths happened? everyone on the scene would know its a personal item, the staff however would just see it as a banner someone has left while they sweep up in prep for the next night? hope you find it x

We have also asked if any CCTV footage was recorded. We have had our banner on view at Prestatyn for every weekender, no trouble before.

Happened at our event(Soul Galore) 2 years ago Used to put a welcome board up wth press cuttings fotos and soul shirts until smebody pinched my own personalised one! Leaves a bitter taste I'm afraid we don't do it anymore

Hope that the people who took this will have their consciences pricked although no decent soulie would have even thought of removing the banner.Hope it won't put others off displaying theirs and that it is returned to the rightful owners somehow.

I've come home with several things over the years.. including a mars bar shop display that sat ourside the shop.. not even sure how I lifted that one... maybe the person who took it could just return it by post to Prestatyn pontins...no name and the rightful owners could then sort it out with Pontins.. as say they may have done it when drunk and are now embaressed to say it was them...

The time has been narrowed down to between 2am - 4am on Saturday morning. I have no wish whatsoever to discredit the soulies of Nottingham.
