Guest REVILOT Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Make it me is a beauty, too, yes. Lovely arrangement. Baby let me teach you is similiar to pattis' Pain Stain. (i prefer zena though) Crossng threads here from The Hollywood Flames But this is a corker I'm Gonna Stand By You - Symbol 215
Daz Mc Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 (edited) Agreed !!!! Us Northerners no nowt !!! Believe Lou Edwards had a couple of spins thirty odd years ago in the area where the M6 has cobblestones. My underplayed (& always has been) tune is "Somebody I Know"- Wales Wallace. I suspect had this record been rare it would be a true collectors trophy piece. Totally agree , Wales Wallace ...raved about it 10 yrs ago , brilliant for a £15 - £20 sound....also LEE LAMONT - I'LL TAKE LOVE , best tenner ive ever spent. Edited October 12, 2009 by daz mc

Mark B Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Jimmy Braswell "this time its got to be for real" jar val marcus daniel "my best years" plaza both underplayed and underappreciated also the joe tex "all the heaven a man realy needs" recently changed hands on here for a fiver. Must now be worth its 15 mins of time in the spotlight and the inevitable silly prices Jimmy Braswell "this time its got to be for real" jar val played this a few times at the greatstone, i really like it, it is not very well known. mark
Wrongcrowd Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 I've always wondered why Lou Edwards - Talking 'Bout Poor Folks has not had a second lease of life - it sounds so much better for today's scene than it did in the 70's Get yourself to Lifeline......it's certainly on its second lease of life there.....awesome tune...
Wrongcrowd Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Modulations ` I`m Hopelessly In Love` I am not even sure if this has even been played on the Northernsoul Scene????? Guest REVILOT Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 This thread deserves to be kept going How about NINA SIMONE - BREAKDOWN AND LET IT ALL OUT - PHILIPS Used to be called left field, sounds brilliant today.
ALIVE'N'KICKIN Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 What about I GOT THE POWER from The Masqueraders - also on LABEAT Sorming Deroit Every one should have it in their playbox. Almost to fast to Move to but what a tune!!!! Makes for a great ender to your set!
