Reg Scott Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 https://cgi.ebay.co.u...id=p3286.c0.m14 bargain if original, slightly over the top pricing if a reissue Just had a look at this one.. If this is an original the guy selling it is very kind. However, looking at the scan the deadwax looks particularly wide which suggests to me this is definitely the counterfeit/boot. Only my opinion mind !!
John Elias Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 I think ignorance is bliss in this case,he deals in classical music mostly, don't think he knows his northen.
Northern Soul Uk Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 (edited) Looks like the same one as i have, and I was informed on 'SS' that it is a boot. It didn't bother me much as it only cost me about £9, but £89 is a bit different. How can you actually tell the boot from the orig'? BTW 'dancingcollector' he has quite a bit of Northern on there and either knows what to charge, or has had advice from a third party?. Edited October 9, 2009 by steveluigi

But, the easiest way to tell from just a photo is a wide looking deadwax area and if you look at the label carefully you can see a run-down toward the centre hole (like the one in the photo on the bay). This is definitely a boot and has sold for £75 - go figure that one! The seller, if he is having advice, is getting bad advice and knowingly or not is not declaring the item as even potentially not original. That's bad practice full stop Regards.
