No wonder it was never released, the guy sounds like he's Barney Gumble off the Simpsons. I'd feel robbed if I paid a quid for that.

Just listened to it.

Bloody hell, that's atrocious.

Another minute of my life i'll never get back.

Cracking write up though, particularly enjoyed this bit:

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a MEGA MEGA MEGA rare item and may well be the only copy of this song in existence. Your Northern Soul collection is not complete without obtaining this rare and historically significant holy grail... they just don't come rarer and more coveted than an original one-off one-sided unreleased 60s Northern Soul acetate in pristine condition...

In a talent contest between the two, I'd pick Barney Gumble's burp song.

Yeah....I know it's dreadful....though somebody's paid 80 quid for it....ohmy.gif

...just wanted to know if anybody else thought it might be Johnny Gilliam..yes.gif

it's clearly a songwriter's demo, not intended for radio play (made so the person could shop around a song), which is why it comes with sheet music, and why the person can't sing very well.
