Steve G Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 hey your on the ball. Actually when you discuss records and the period they were played in you must ALWAYS appreciate the relevance of that record at that time. link I can remember Russ playing it at Wigan - probably 76 - not as old as you JV. I always blamed him for it, until more knowledgable (and older / wiser) sources on here "outed" the true "originator" Thank goodness nothing like this in your playbox these days.....or is there?

chrissie Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 For all the unbelievers..... the unbelievable. You have been warned!!! H link That was very scary, just listened to it for the first time at 7.30am, not the sort of thing you want to start your day off with, absolute SH 1T, just hope it doesn't turn out to be one of those toons that sticks in your head all day. QoF xx

Steve G Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 Yep and still SH 1T QoF xx link Agreed, and in the spirit of trying to breathe life into this very tired thread.... Who threatened Simon Soussan with a knee capping. Answer: John Vincent? Dunno tell us. Who pulled a gun on a wigan dj in 1975? Water pistol: Steve G - but it was later than 75? Other: still to be confirmed by BigBoy Where has Billy Paul gone? To "Bring the family back" Was Cleethorpes in the heyday that good? Best period was late 19th century where it was frequented by many thousands of holidaymakers on a Sunday who'd travel by train from surrounding towns and cities, so I have read. One more question: Who left an apple core in JV's box in 1976? Answer: To be confirmed in due course.
